Can you please talk about POW and are there other consensus mechanisms that are more efficient than POW but are also private ?

I guess that paying fees to node validating a systematic cut through once a transaction is published would be a good incentive too.

Hi Tilman, you mentionned cut through to happen from time to time. Isn't possible to trigger it sysmatically ? I mean, a gov/IRS node not activating it could keep memory of all transactions for the future. That the biggest threat of blockCHAINS, chaining us like slaves. The ability to forget is the best anti Q computer or suying that can happen, if done systematically before a third party nitices it. Do you know if EPIC or some other MW coin does it sysmatically (a new block inferring with and older triggers automatically a corrected version of the older block to validate the distributed register ? If so we would be rid of blockchains for a far better concept.

For your info if need, a nice article from Naomi (she is also on substack) on the voluntary triggering auto deletion of our tracks : https://x.com/naomibrockwell/status/1842203268803596616?t=th2z1WOM4syMsY7yK0fjrQ&s=19

Hi Atlantisarch, the “cut through” is not primarily a privacy-enhancing process, but primarily reduces the size of the blockchain. Even a gov/IRS node cannot intercept anything with the transaction data otherwise removed by cut through, as no relevant data can be extracted there. The only weak point could be if an epic-box operator forwards the data to the IRS, or the IRS could constantly deduct the incoming data. If the IP addresses are recorded at the same time because no VPN was used, there could theoretically be problems. But EPIC is still far too insignificant for that. Personally, I am not satisfied with the EPIC box as it is currently operated because it is simply far too centralized. I prefer the file transfer method, where there is no possibility for outsiders to access data. However, this does not work with EpicPay, but only with the desktop wallets.

Epic box is still a thing i didn't investigate indeed. Since transaction sides have to handshake, still wondering why an addictionnal service is required. Putting that on my homeworks for winter (if you treated the subject I'll gladly read it).

I'm aware of all the crypto MW requires, but we never knows what mathematics or devices improvements could lead us to. One thing I'm still sure is that forgetted things are almost impossible to trace back, the best defense possible until time travel discovery ;) . And thus, possibly stacking all information in a three letter agency server for the future with a dedicated node is a potential threat. BlockCHAIN *is* a chain. But maybe it's possible to make this change afterward.

Epic marketcap is too little to be afraid now, but sooner or later banks and govs will fight for their own life and then most cryptocurrencies out there are going to show what they trully are. Some would talk about butterfly effect :).
